PADI Open Water Course is the world’s most popular and widely recognized scuba course. After successfully completing this course you earn the first scuba certification.

PADI Open Water course consist of three main phases; Knowledge Development (online, independent study or in classroom) to understand basic principle of scuba diving), Confined Water Dives to learn and apply basic scuba skills, Open Water dives to use your skills and explore.

You don’t have to be “advanced” to take this course, it’s designed to advance your diving skills so you can start this course right after completing your open water course.

This course consist of five adventure dives, two of them are required dives (Deep and Underwater Navigation) and the other two adventure dives vary with your interest, Peak Performance Buoyancy control, night dive, drift, wreck and many other. Each of five adventure dives is uniquely different to expand your dive knowledge and skills while gaining experience under supervision of your PADI instructor. Each adventure dive may credit toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver course.

The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies using different techniques. You will learn how to prevent and manage problems in the water and become more confident in your skills as a diver. You will also learn how to be a better buddy by practicing problem solving skills until they become your second nature.

PADI (Junior) Adventure divers who are at least 12 years old and have completed the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive may enroll in Rescue Diver course. You also need to have Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the past 24 months.

PADI Divemaster course is your first level of professional training. While working closely with a PADI Instructor, you fine-tune your dive skills like effortless hover and refining rescue skills. You will gain dive knowledge, management and supervision abilities so you become role model to divers everywhere.

As a PADI Divemaster, you will lead others as you supervise scuba diving activities and assist with diver training. Whether you want to work at a faraway dive destination or close to home at a local dive shop, the adventure of a lifetime awaits you. PADI Divemasters are respected dive professionals who are aligned with the largest and most respected dive organization in the world.

If you are a Divemaster and you want to take your professional dive training to the next level or you are not sure about completing an entire PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC), the PADI Assistant Instructor Course is just what you need.

Once you become a certified AI you will be able to act as an instructional scuba assistant and be able to teach courses under direction of a PADI Instructor. In Aura Dive Resort we run the Assistant Instructor Course in conjunction with our PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) or as a separate course up on request. When an AI is ready to progress, attending an OWSI program allows entry into an IE to earn a full PADI Instructor rating.

If you like people, have a passion for scuba diving and want an extraordinary life become a PADI Instructor. You earn a PADI Instructor rating through hard work and commitment, but you are rewarded with a job that lets you share incredible underwater adventures with others transforming their lives for the better and enriching yours.

As a scuba diving instructor, opportunities abound to further your professional dive training into the many realms of the scuba diving industry by participating in Specialty Instructor courses, which train you to teach PADI Specialty Courses after receiving your instructor certification.

The Instructor Development Course (IDC) is made up of two parts the Assistant Instructor (AI) course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program. Most dive professionals complete the entire IDC and go on to attend an Instructor Examination (IE), which is the final step to earn a PADI Instructor certification.

An Instructor Examination (IE) is a two-day evaluative program that tests an instructor candidate teaching ability, dive theory knowledge, skill level, understanding of the PADI System, and attitude and professionalism. PADI IEs are standardized and conducted by specially trained PADI Instructor Examiners. Only those who meet the IE performance requirements earn the respected PADI Instructor certification. There is a fee for attending an IE.

The PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating sets you apart as a dive instructor who takes continuing education seriously and is committed to teaching a variety of courses. (Potential employers like this.) Being an MSDT signifies that you have got the experience and certifications to offer all the training a diver needs to become a Master Scuba Diver – the ultimate recreational diver rating.

The MSDT Prep Program will give you an edge and take you beyond Open Water Scuba Instructor Level. You will be more employable, have more options with what you can teach, and make your job more interesting for yourself. To earn the MSDT rating you will complete 5 Specialties Instructor Ratings with our Course Director. After you certified 25 students, you can apply directly to PADI to become an MSDT.
